2026 Farm Jobs– Are you someone who has spent a few years working on farms and are now looking to take the next step? Are you thinking about starting your own farm, but want some more experience under your belt? Are you interested in local food/farming and want to dip your toe in the water? In the 18 years since Siri and Jason started the farm, at least 15 of our former employees have gone on to start their own farming operations or work as farm managers. Full-Time Farm – This is a 5 day a week job, including one weekend day. You will participate in all aspects of the farm: planting, irrigation, tractor work, harvest, wash/pack, and maintenance tasks. We seek hardworking, mature, people who can work with minimal oversight. Prior farming experience is not required, but definitely preferred. You’ll be working with a core crew of experienced employees, many of whom have worked at Local Roots Farm for over 10 years. Full-time employees must have a valid drivers license, transporation to the farm, and ideally will be willing to drive a one-day-a-week delivery route in Seattle in a farm van.
Terms for all positions
– Paid sick/personal time, accrues 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.
– Farm produce for personal use.
– Pay starts at $18.50-20.50, and may be higher DOE.
– On-farm housing may be made available to rent for highly qualified candidates. We have one private room available in a shared house for the 2025 growing season.
Flex Crew: We are currently seeking some new additions to our flex crew for the summer weeding and fall harvest season. These are on-call positions during the summer and fall, both weekends and week days. Pay is Washington state minimum hourly wage plus farm produce.
